The gold standard of coffee cocktails — vodka and coffee liqueur shaken hard with Nørse cold espresso concentrate for a velvety, frothy finish that's become a modern classic.

Ingredients

  • NORSE 8:1 cold espresso concentrate1 oz (30 ml)
  • Vodka (smooth, unflavored)1.5 oz (45 ml)
  • Coffee liqueur (Kahlúa or Baileys)0.75 oz (22 ml)
  • Simple syrup (optional)0.25 oz (7 ml)
  • Coffee beans, for garnish3

Method

  1. 01

    Chill a martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes.

  2. 02

    Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice cubes.

  3. 03

    Add the Nørse concentrate, vodka, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup if using.

  4. 04

    Shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds — this creates the signature frothy top.

  5. 05

    Double-strain through a cocktail strainer and a fine mesh sieve into the chilled glass.

  6. 06

    Place 3 coffee beans in the center of the foam as garnish. Serve immediately.

NORSE Tip

Since NORSE concentrate is already cold, skip waiting for espresso to cool — shake straight away for a thicker, frothier result.
